The Gifts of Dreaming
(This is a favorite. We have fun and the possibilities for
growth are limitless!)
An unexplored dream is like an unopened
letter. If you want to learn how to access the healing, practical guidance
and spiritual wisdom available to you through dreams, this retreat is for
you! Learn tips for how to remember dreams, how to go back into a dream for
more information or to resolve issues, how to bring dream guidance into daily
waking life. Explore your own dreams and learn how to support friends and
family in their dream explorations.
If you pay attention to dreams you will be in good
company. Jane of Aza had a dream that her yet to be born baby would carry
light to the nations.
Her son, Dominic, founded the Dominican Order of Preachers. Joseph saved
lives in Egypt because he understood a message in Pharaoh’s dream. Many years
later another dreamer named Joseph would save his wife and newborn son, Jesus,
by following the message of an angel who spoke to him in a dream. Therese of
Lisieux was depressed because she was ill and dying. A dream brought her
comfort and reassurance. Beethoven, Brahms, Stravinsky, Billy Joel have
written music influenced by their dreams. What dream gifts await you?

Healing through Dreaming
Our dreams
show us body, mind and spirit. When we become ill, our dreams give us fresh and
powerful images that open pathways to recovery, healing and new life. This
weekend, in a supportive community with other seekers, you will learn ways to
help you explore dreams and will grow a healing dream for yourself.

Dreamwork
in the Service of Recovery
A
teaching day for credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselors.
Your client has a dream
about drinking or drugging. Another one dreams about a beautiful little child
who looks like herself. A man dreams about being chased by monsters. An
adolescent dreams about a librarian who helps her do research for school. What
do you do? There are ways to gather dream guidance that lead to strengthening
recovery, avoiding relapse and improving relationships. Participants will learn
methods for exploring dreams that can be used with clients and for themselves in
the service of recovery and wellness.
Specific teaching goals during this lively, active, training will enable
participants to:
Ø
Learn what to do when a client shares a dream or
nightmare
Ø
Learn how dreams provide practical
guidance in daily life for growth and healing, for relapse prevention and for
personal counselor wellness and creativity.
Ø
Become familiar with ethical
guidelines for doing dreamwork
Ø
Learn tips for remembering dreams
Practice methods for exploring
dreams including the Lightning Dreamwork developed by Robert Moss.

Heart and
Soul Quest: What is my purpose in life?
This
is a weekend expedition to the lands of heart and soul. In these lands are
found your deepest desires and the wishes of the Divine. The structure for
the retreat includes brief teachings, meditations and guided imagery. There
are questions for reflection followed by time for prayer, dreaming and
journaling. Participants gather for sharing within a supportive community of
seekers.
Bring a journal or paper, your favorite writing
implements or a laptop computer.
The Heart and Soul Quest can be offered in pursuit of
different questions according to the need and desire.
For example: Heart & Soul Quest: What
is my purpose in life? How can I heal?
How can I deepen my spiritual life?

Woman
to Woman: Circle of Grace and Power
We form a sacred circle where we dream together
and honor women’s gifts. No one is left on the sidelines. All present are part
of the circle. There is a time of healing and affirmation. There is
opportunity to release bonds to make room for the power of Soul to speak her
truths in each woman’s heart. In this community we encourage each one to bring
to birth and claim her divine gifts.
There will be stories, conscious dreaming together, sharing, music, prayer, and
no doubt, some tears and laughter.
v
Bring a drum, finger cymbals,
tambourine, or percussion instrument if you have one.
v
Bring a small symbol of beauty,
light, love, grace, holy power, or fun to place at the
center of our circle.

Moving from Codependence to Co-Creation
This retreat is a special time to provide opportunities to identify patterns of
codependency and to find pathways to freedom and serenity. This retreat will
support you in cherishing who you are, with all your foibles and gifts,
acknowledging your wounds and the extraordinary power of healing that is yours.
There is opportunity to focus on your own self, and to listen to the deepest
desires of your soul in order to be more free to love and to be loved. We will
pray and dream together, opening our hearts to guidance and grace.

I lead healing retreats for
special groups – survivors of sexual abuse and adult children of addictive
families.
Opening Pathways of Healing
For Survivors of Sexual Abuse
Come
to a gentle retreat designed to nurture the healing process through lecture,
small group sharing, guided imagery and creative arts. A self-protective
response to trauma often leads to shutting down and blocking off areas of life.
This keeps out the bad stuff, but also blocks the good. This is a weekend to
continue opening to the process of healing and loving heart and soul.

The Grace of Saying “Yes” to Life
A special retreat for
women survivors of sexual abuse.
Dear Woman of Courage,
You said “yes”
to life when you survived the death-dealing ordeal of sexual abuse. All of your
coping methods, healthy and unhealthy, are ways to live. This retreat is an
opportunity to more fully claim the gift of living life well while honoring and
letting go of those coping styles that are no longer needed. The grace-filled
love of a Higher Power will light our way showing what to release and what to
embrace.
The retreat includes lecture, small group sharing, guided
imagery, prayer and more. Please consider joining us for this special retreat.
You deserve it. You will be in the company of other brave women survivors. You
are not alone.
Your sister in healing,
Carol

Opening to Love: A retreat for Adult Children of
Addictive Families
The
journey of recovery is a deeply spiritual process of opening to love: love of
self, love of others, love of higher power. It is a journey of learning to
accept love and to give love. It most certainly is a journey of healing from
the wounds of too little or the absence of love.
Bill Wilson wrote, “Because of our kinship in suffering, and because our common
means of deliverance are effective for ourselves only when constantly carried to
others, our channels of contact have always been charged with the language of
the heart.”
This retreat will provide opportunities for you to explore your journey of
recovering your soul’s purpose in living your life of love. We will speak in
the language of the heart.
