The Dominican Retreat & Conference Center is an entirely self-supporting organization. We depend solely on our program revenue and the generosity of our supporters to carry out our ministry. Currently, approximately 65% of our revenue is generated through program fees, the remainder realized through various fund-raising activities, appeals and events. Your gift to the DRCC goes directly to our ministry and is tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Some ways you can help: The Annual Fund: The largest and most important of our efforts, the Annual Fund consists of our annual and special mail appeals and provides us with the revenue to run the DRCC on a day to day basis, to keep our programs affordable to those that need them, to provide scholarships to those in need, and the upkeep of our facility. Your gift to the Annual Fund is an investment in our ministry. The Mary J. Kakretz Endowment Fund: The Mary J. Kakretz Endowment Fund, begun in honor of one of the DRCC’s most cherished friends and loyal supporters, is essentially the planning vehicle for the future of our Retreat House. The success and growth of this fund will allow us to expand and enhance our programs and facility, weather financial storms that may occur, or survive a severe financial crisis. Your gift to the Endowment Fund is an investment in our future. Memorials and Honorariums Would you like to remember someone in a special way? Or honor someone special in your life? You may purchase a chair in either our chapel or conference room in memory or honor of that special person. Chapel chairs are $200 and conference room chairs are $100. The name of the person you designate will be inscribed on a plaque either outside the chapel or inside the conference room. This is a timeless way to show your respect, gratitude, love or remembrance and helps the DRCC enhance the beauty and comfort of our house.
